Every Saturday, Marta goes to the market near her flat. There are a lot of stalls, and there are always many people, so she arrives early.
She doesn’t buy much. She needs some tomatoes, a few lemons and a little cheese. She never buys too much food, because she lives alone and there isn’t enough space in her fridge.
Today the cheese stall had no parmesan, but the seller gave her some other cheese to try. “Do you have any olives?” she asked. “Yes, we have a lot of olives,” he said, “but not many green ones.”
Marta bought a few black olives and some bread. She has enough food for the weekend, but she hasn’t got any milk. “There are too many people in the shop,” she thinks, “so I’ll buy it tomorrow.”
